Happy Namesday to my Father! wow, father sounded formal, lets just call him Dad, Daddy :P
Today, just a week after me, is his namesday, woop woop! If I was in Sweden I would bake a cake (or maybe not haha). But its the thought who counts. Quite cool, our names is exactly one week apart and our birthdays are exactly one month apart.
A little bit informatino about my dads name, Roland:
Roland is a man's name with the old German origin (Hroudland). Formed by hrod - "honor" and the country that means just a country, ie meaning of the name of Glory Land. Roland (also called Orlando) was the name of a mythical captain of Charlemagne, about which it was written several poems and epics - see Rolandsången.Namnet occurred in Sweden in the 1300's. It was very popular from the 1930s until the 1950s, and was for some time among the 30 most common male names. Nowadays it is given, however, most of the other names to the youngest. People say that I am most look a like my dad... Not sure that is a good or bad thing! haha
