Sometimes you just got to love England and its characters! So today I had to go and buy ingredients to the buns for tomorrow (ill start a bit today haha) and here in England they don't sell fresh yeast out in the store and only have dry yeast. So I went to Trsco and asked behind their bakery if they had any, and the cutest old man stood there and first he looked at me and said "mam, I am not allowed to sell you yeast if you will make your own beer" haha first best comment! How ever, after that he started to talk a bit more, "you know, in the olden days we just gave it out for free but now we have to charge for it! Ridiculous really" and I did confirm and told him I had money and were not going to make beer, but I reckon he just wanted to make small talk haha
How ever, he went and measured out 200g of yeast, I see him behind the counter making a funny face, and he says "oh that is going to be expensive, but you do want your buns, don't you?" And I thought straight away, shiet... This will cost a fortune, I am buying it specially from the store and have requested a pretty high amount of yeast... Then I get it and it is, £0.01??!!! Hahaha I fricking love that guy! He is the reason why you still go to the store and go to one special one, he was bloody brilliant :D
